Students can apply of a loan of up to £350 that is repaid when their next student grant is due. SmartPig have a maximum loan term of 180 days. Students that have a student loan, grant or bursary from Student Finance of England and Wales, SAAS or the NHS are able to apply for a loan. First time lenders at SmartPig are limited to a loan amount of £250. SmartPig short term loans are very popular and have helped over 50,000 UK students.

How quickly do I get my loan?
Smart pig loans use the faster payments system to transfer money quickly into your chosen bank account. Once the application has been approved funds are usually transferred within one hour.
How do I repay my loan?
The terms of a SmartPig loan is that it must be repaid inform when you receive your next student loan deposit. The term can be up to a maximum of 180 days, if you settle your account sooner you are able to save money by not accruing interest. All repayments are taken directly from your debit card on the agreed date at application.
What happens if I miss payments?
The smart pig customer care team are available on 0203 5071 930 and you should contact them as soon as possible if you think you may not be able to meet an agreed repayment date, you can also email them at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will not be charged a fee for missing payments or for making a late payment as SmartPig have an interest cap of 50% of the total loan amount borrowed, the majority of payday loans have a cap at 100%, this is something all borrowers should consider. There is also a 10-day grace period on payments, that will help if your student loan is not cleared in time for the payment debit.
